Hi. My name is Vishal Vasishta. I was a student of Adelhi and had the pleasure and honour to work as a Grad Assistant under Prof Ashley. I just got to know he passed away last year and I am deeply sadnened to hear so. Prof Ashley had a a very deep impact on me as a student, as an assistant to his research on TQM and as a son in a way. He was one of the kindest souls I have knows in my life. Almost a father figure without him realising the impact he had on me. I cherish the moments spent with him. He guided me in the best of my interest. I hope he is smiling up above and keeping an eye on all he loved and had any association with. I am so sorry to hear this news that Allan has passed away. I was just reading the Adelphi online Alumni newsletter. Allan was an excellent professor and I was his student during my undergraduate and MBA program at Adelphi, 2009. He was very caring for his students and took the time after class to address all of my concerns. He provided extra help and support and because of Allan I was able to graduate with honors. His classes were always challenging but I really learned from his teachings. Truly enjoyed his classes. May he rest in peace and I am so so sorry to hear this news. Sincere condolences, Gregg T. Dear Jean and family, It is with a heavy heart that I send my sincerest sympathy to you and your family. To me, Allan was a unique wonderful man. Never a bad word for anyone. A champion for the office staff and faculty. I will miss his smile, his kindness and sense of fair play. I enjoyed knowing him for these past 7 years and miss him dearly. I enjoyed our talks and our laughs. His generosity went above and beyond in all aspects. It has been an honor knowing him. Rest in Peace, dear Allan, and thank you for being part of my life.
