Al was born April 18, 1941, in Brooklyn, NY to mother Elsie and father Charles Barnett. Al was a graduate of Brooklyn College and proudly served in the US Army. He married Arlene Nemoga on October 26, 1964, and they lived in Massapequa, NY, where they raised their family. Al worked for the US Customs Department of Homeland Security for over forty years. He loved his country and was dedicated to his service. Al was an enthusiastic fan of his favorite sports teams, the Giants, Islanders and especially the Brooklyn Dodgers.
