Obituary of Joseph A. Caramanica, Jr.
CARAMANICA - Joseph A. Jr., was born on December 9, 1934 and was reunited with his beloved wife Margaret (nee McKechnie) on June 10, 2018. Joseph was a highly decorated and proud member of the NYPD for 38 years and served his country during the Korean War. Joe was best known for his kind nature, generosity, and sense of humor. He was admired and respected by all. His family was his pride and joy. Cherished father of Karen (Steven), Linda (James), and Keith (Anne-Marie). Devoted grandfather of Lauren, Kristen, Marisa, Gianna, Ryan, Alexandra, and great-grandson, Jack. Caring brother of Anita (Charles), John (Anne), Peter (Luz), Marianne (Peter), Jeanne (Marty). He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Visitation on Thursday, June 14th, 2:00pm-4:30pm & 7:00-9:30pm at Frederick J. Chapey & Sons Funeral Home, 20 Hicksville Road, Bethpage. Funeral Mass on Friday, June 15th, 10:15am at St. James RC Church, 80 Hicksville Rd., Seaford. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association https:--www.lbda.org.
