Obituary of Eugene P. Marksteiner

~~Eugene P. Marksteiner, formerly of Hicksville, born on ‘D Day’, passed on ‘Patriot’s Day’ September 11, 2017 at age 85.  Proud Korean War Veteran (U.S. Marine Corps) and retired Lake Success Police Officer.   Devoted husband of Ann for 60 years.  Beloved father of Thomas (Nancy), Carol Woodland (Gary), and Linda Ligor (Jim).  Cherished grandfather of Bryan, Kevin and Nicholas.  Dear brother of the late Helen McGill.  
 
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) or Shriner’s Hospital for Children (www.loveshriners.org)
