Tony was one of my best friends at the University of Hartford. I will always remember the great times we had there as well as visiting him in Syosset and having him stay at my house in Middletown, CT. He was full of life and was great to have around, especially during times when I felt down. He always had a good thing to say and I felt privileged to have him as a good friend. He was even an usher at my wedding almost thirty eight years ago this coming November. My folks, my cousin Dave and my buddy Dave Grimm all loved him and we all agreed that his personality was infectious. We used to go to Shea Stadium with Tony. And I think Tony went to Boston with us to see a game at Fenway Park. And Tony's parents were super too! I'll always cherish the memories of sitting down with them for a great dinner. That happened several times at his house. And I remember his sister Gwen who was beautiful both inside and outwards. Tony, life is so short, but there's a promise of a new world in the near future for all of us. I look forward to the day that I'll be able to shake your hand again and perhaps play a game of softball or watch another baseball game.

Dear Tony, You were your Connecticut cousins' ideal of the sophisticated 1970s cool image. Longish blond hair, bell-bottoms, piano playing. You had all that seemed cool. But I also can't help but remember you at the same time playing "Danny Boy" on the piano for my grandmother. You grew from that cool young man into an integral member of the family and committed adult partner to Susan. You are an enormous part of our lives. And you will always remain that 70's cool and groovy guy. All my love to Susan and Geri at their tremendous loss.
