Obituary of Joseph W. Smyrski

SMYRSKI - Joseph W., lifelong resident of East Islip, LI for 78 years, on July 26, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Patricia A. Smyrski. Devoted father of Joseph Smyrski, Jr. and Tina Smyrski-Davis. Proud grandfather of Christina Patrice Davis. Cherished father-in-law of Stephanie Grauer-Smyrski. Loving son of the late Minnie and Thomas Smyrski. Joseph was predeceased by his many dear brothers and sisters. He will be greatly missed by his extended family. Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons East Islip Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street (1/2 mile west of the S.S. Parkway, Exit 45W). Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's RC Church, East Islip, LI on Monday, 9:45 AM. Interment to follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Bay Shore, LI. In lieu of flowers, Joseph's family suggests donations be made in his loving memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Visiting Saturday and Sunday 2:00 PM until 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:30 PM.
