Hello Maureen, Meg, Gina, Mike and Jimmy,
My sister Suzie and I lived in the house behind you and traveled many times between our homes. Suzie heard from Meg about the passing of your mom and I wanted to send my condolences to all of you.
I wanted to share one of my memories of your mom and that is how Maureen, your mom and I would love watching the NY Knicks on TV. I think Dave Debusher was one of our most favorites.
There are many great memories of growing up in Great River and I'm so glad you have been a part of my life.
Best wishes,
Nancy Willrick Wakefield

Dear Maureen & Family,
It is impossible to express how sad I am to hear the news about your mother. The one thing that I will always remember about Peggy is hear enthusiastic approach to everything in life. I can hear her voice and see her smile and of course never forget her laughter. Please except my sincere condolences and let your sisters and brothers know how sorry I am. I will pray for my friend Peggy and all of you especially today and tomorrow, and I'm so sorry I can not be with you today. Needless to say " you could not have had a more wonderful mother ".
Love,
Steve

This tribute made me cry. Aunt Peg was one of the sweetest people I know. I was so blessed last summer to visit her with my sister Karen. We laughed and cried because of how tender our visit was. We mentioned how great all of her kids were to her and that is when she got emotional. She felt love from all of you everyday. You all took her under your wing and gave her the best life possible. I know this will be a hard few months ahead, but the best part about this is that you will see her again. I am thankful for God's perfect plan of heaven! A hug to all of you from me. XXOO. Janice

Oh my...what a beautiful story of your AMAZING Mom's Life! We were privileged to have been in your neighborhood for a few years in (Country Village) and then a few years later in Great River. We always called your Mom "Aunt Peggy" and she was such a great friend to our Mom. They had a special language called 'pig-latin' that they spoke RAPIDLY to each other using 'their' formula...in order to NOT let 'us kids' understand what they were saying to each other. It was soo cool, and they were too! Last year, my sister Janice and I visited Aunt Peggy in West Islip care facility AND she spoke some of the pig-latin to me...she remembered! Her mind was active and ready...and she was smiling! YOU all did a wonderful job of caring for your Mom...she was very happy. We sat with her for about an hour and took pics...and laughed with her. Do you know she remembered BOTH of us!
Ahhh, the memories are so very wonderful. I remember always being in your pool in CV...and parties there...and one of my siblings always in school with a Morin child. I followed Gina and my sister Diane into St. John the Baptist...and even had Gina's ID for my fake ID!! I wish you all the best in this difficult time. Your Mom was the BEST!!! You are all very Lucky...and she was too. My love and prayers for all of you. I live in Xcalak, Mexico with my husband...for the past 5 years...we are well and miss you all! Love. Karen
