Bodenmiller, George Edward, of Islip, LI, on May 26, 2017. Beloved husband of Elizabeth for 51 years. Cherished son of the late Frank & Mae. Devoted father of George, Mae Marie and Michelle. Loving father in law to John, Mike and Kristen. Adored grandfather of George III, Janette, George F., Joshua, Ashley, Madyson, Elizabeth, Amber and Travis. Proud great grandfather of Todd. Dear brother of Eddie, Bobby, Linda and the late Frank and Fran. George was a proud veteran of US Army 1st of 7 Air Calvary from 1968-1969 serving in Vietnam and officer of the Suffolk County Police Department for over 36 years and a Suffolk County Detective for 25 years. Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons East Islip Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street (1/2 Mile West of the S.S. Parkway, Exit 45W). Funeral Service to be held at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Islip Terrace, LI on Thursday 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Long Island National Cemetery, Pinelawn, LI. Visiting Wednesday 2:00 PM until 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:30 PM.
