Obituary of Jean Giedris

Jean Giedris of Bay Shore, on April 25, 2017 passed away lovingly surrounded by her children. Beloved wife of the late Julian John (Slick) Giedris. Adored mother of John Giedris (Deb), Mary Knabe (John), Teresa Busardo, Kathy Hanley (Bob), Juliann Pagnotta (Frank), Jen Schiano (Andrew) and the late Billy Giedris and Patty Ramos (Bob). Loving grandmother of 18. Cherished great grandmother of 2. Dear sister of Jim Mattimore (Lorraine) and Louise Grant. Jean was a Registered Nurse who worked for many years at South Bay Surgical Associates. She ended her career at Broadlawn and in her retirement volunteered at Christa House as well as working as a care companion.  Reposing at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy. (1/4 mile west of the Robert Moses Cswy) Visiting Thursday 2:00 PM until 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:30 PM.  Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial, Friday 10:00 AM, St. Patrick’s R.C. Church, Bay Shore, L.I. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Bay Shore, L.I.
