Obituary of Michael V. Maggiore

Michael V. Maggiore died on April 15th at the age of 86. He was a native New Yorker who worked at Grumman Aerospace on Long Island and who spent the last phase of his life doing what he loved best…playing golf in Florida. Michael was blessed to have been the loving husband of Camille Maggiore as well as the beloved father and devoted friend of Joann Straub and Michael L. Maggiore. Michael was the loving father-in-law of Frank Straub and Karen Maggiore and was grandfather (aka Papa) of Desiree Straub, Cherice Caravello and Jessica McNamara. He was also “Big Papa” to great grandchildren Camille and Carina Caravello and Julie and James McNamara. Later in his life, Michael was fortunate to meet and marry his second loving wife, Martha Maggiore. With her he gained a caring family that he spent many wonderful years with. He leaves behind his step-children Don and Mark, Judi, and Debi Callahan and two grandchildren Thomas and Jessica. Michael was a man who was always surrounded by many people who loved and cherished him. From family, friends and acquaintances, everyone who knew him thought of him with love and laughter. He will be greatly missed by all…the world has lost a very special man but Heaven has gained an angel.
