Sprance, John Frederick, of Granite Falls, NC, formerly of Venice FL and Islip Terrace, LI on March 23, 2017. Proud WWII Veteran of the United States Navy. Beloved husband of late Louise P. Sprance for 58 years. Devoted father of Gina Crawford, Susan Anderson-Razzano, Lynn Bermudez, Frederick Sprance and John Sprance. Adored father-in-law of Robert Crawford, Joseph Razzano, Richard Bermudez and the late Tonia Sprance. Cherished grandfather of Eric and Jen, Sarah and Michael, Jon, Christopher, Jenna, Cassie and Jack. Dear brother of Marion Minder and Vincent Sprance. Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons East Islip Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street (1/2 mile west of the S.S. Parkway, Exit 45W). Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial, St. Mary’s R.C. Church, L.I., Tuesday at 10:45 AM. Interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, LI. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in John’s loving memory to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
