Obituary

A tremendously unfathomable loss Patrick John Vaughan, The Legend. An incredible family man from Levittown, New York, was 67 years old and born on December 27, 1956. It deeply saddens us to announce that Pat has departed this world and moved on to a greater place with no pain on November 10th, 2024. His existence depended on his incredibly strong and dedicated wife, Rocio Vaughan, who stood by her family’s side as a keen pillar of example of the sacred wedded lines “in good and bad health and till death does us part”. He also leaves behind his most prized positions and ultimate dedication in life, his two children and future Grandson, Victoria Maria, Patrick John Vaughan Jr. and Joseph Thomas Thornton V. His brother Reynold Vaughan (and family) and sister Marianne Bender Vaughan (and family) Geoffrey, Christina, and Teresa Bender. Patrick was a loyal leader, a loving friend, and a positive impact on every person that has ever been blessed to encounter his bright spirit and astonishing soul. He was kind, protective and respectful to others while also believing in adversity. He was a Nassau County Corrections Officer for 30+ years and gave his everything to his family, career, and community. He enjoyed spending quality time with his extended family and friends and never missed a special moment.

.

He loved baseball, basketball, hockey, and all things sports. He also loved the winters for the snow and summers for the beach. He was an avid fisherman and shared this passion at Jones Beach with his family each summer. Pat was an upbeat father who enjoyed being present in his children’s lives. He was known around the neighborhood as the friendliest and most helpful man around as well as “on the fan as Pat from Levittown”. He was the kind of person who would take his jacket off his back if it meant helping someone else. Patrick’s love, light, positivity, and dedication to making this world a better place has and will never go unnoticed. He will forever be remembered through his beautiful wife, two children, and his grandson to come. He has been received in heaven by his parents Mary and Reynold Vaughan, his brother in laws, Bernardo and Xavier Munive and Geoffrey Bender. Along with his mother-in-law Teresa Castrellon and niece Alexa Ruiz. We will continue to listen to Frank Sinatra, John Denver, David Bowe, and Eddie Money in his name and in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
