Obituary for James G. Valenti

September 21, 1930 – October 10, 2024 James G. Valenti, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2024, at the age of 94. Born in Brooklyn, New York, to Mary and Anthony Valenti on September 21, 1930, James grew up alongside his two brothers, Joseph and Angelo (deceased), and his sister Rosie. His kind heart and warm spirit touched everyone who knew him. James served his country honorably in the United States Army, fighting in the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. Upon his return, he married the love of his life, Martha Palma, on October 1, 1955. Together, they recently celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary—a testament to their enduring love and devotion to one another. The couple was blessed with three children: Mary Jean, Steve, and Jeffrey, who brought them much joy. A proud resident of Bethpage, NY, for 63 years, James worked for Prudential Insurance Co., where he made many lasting friendships. He was known for his kindness, generosity, and willingness to help anyone in need. His family and community will remember him as a selfless man who always put others first. James was the cherished grandfather of eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, who will forever hold his memory close. His family was his greatest pride, and he was a constant source of love and support to them all. His devotion to his wife, Martha, and their family was unparalleled, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. James G. Valenti lived a life full of love, kindness, and generosity. His legacy of compassion and commitment to family will live on in the hearts of those he touched. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed. May he rest in peace.
