Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother Lillian Gonzalez on 9/28/2024 at the tender age of 88. Lillian was born on July 30, 1936, in Manhattan, N.Y., to Juan and Gladys Tirado in NYC NY. Lillian was raised by her mother Gladys a hard-working single mother and met the love of her life and her beloved husband, Julio Gonzalez of 67 years. They were childhood sweethearts. They pursued a life in the suburbs and raised 3 girls Lisa, Diana and Juliette. Lillian was known for her beautiful, sweet nature and warm personality. She had an infectious smile and was the light in every room she entered. She loved life enjoyed every milestone her children and grandchildren achieved. Loved people, her friends and was blessed with 3 grandchildren Juliana, Olivia and Matthew. Lillian worked for Chase Manhattan Bank and Wheelease until she retired with her husband Julio a retired 638 steamfitter in 1996. They enjoyed retirement together, traveled to Europe, the Islands, enjoyed their 3 grandchildren, walked in the mall with friends and, had a beautiful life with family which was Lillian's most important virtue. Preceded in joining the Lord are her parents Gladys Ortiz Tirado and, Juan Tirado. Lillian is survived by her loving husband Julio Gonzalez and loving daughters Lisa Gonzalez Healey, Diana Cohen and Juliette Gonzalez. Granddaughters Olivia and, Juliana (Diana) and, grandson Matthew Healey (Lisa). Sons in law Patrick Healey and, Michael Cohen and several loving cousins and nephews.
