Patrick John Byrne, aka Dad, Uncle Pat, friend, brother, passed in the early hours of September 18th, 2024 during the night of the Super Harvest Moon. As a Marine Veteran, his final days were spent in the VA Hospital in Asheville, NC where he received his final salute on the morning of September 18th. He was cared for primarily by his brother Charlie in his final months. Born in Glasgow, Scotland on January 27, 1953, he lived most of his life in New York and travelled the world. Loving husband of Angela, father of Genny, Shauna and Katy, son of Mary and Charles Byrne, brother of Margaret, Charlie and Marie, cousin of Tommy, uncle of Ashley, Dillon and Colin, great-uncle of Aidan and Erik and friend to, too many to list.

Graduated from McClancy High School in 1971, served in the Marine Corps until 1974, graduated from Queens College with a BA in 1977, and subsequently received his Masters from Pace University. Patrick was employed by the Postal Service until 2016. Loves too many mention but first and foremost the people in his life, music (especially Irish), Hoops, the outdoors, and bbqing.
