HAHN- Laura, of Oakdale, NY passed away peacefully at home on September 8, 2024. Beloved wife of James.
Laurie and Jimmy met 40 years ago in Singer Island, Florida, where they returned often with their children, grandchildren and friends making many of their best memories. They worked together for 38 years at the View in Oakdale, where Laurie was the heart of the restaurant.
Devoted and immensely proud mother of James Jr. (John), Kelly Dutton (Stephen), and Sara Piscitelli (Paul) and loving grandmother of nine – Rylee, Peyton, Weston, Wyatt, Stephen, Walker, Trevor, Wade, with more on the way.
Cherished daughter of Jack and Judy Lessing. Dear sister of Schmiddy, Mary Beth, Michelle, Gregory, Kevin, Lee, Scott, and Christopher.
Laurie lived her life to the fullest and was happiest at the beach, on the boat, and spending time with her family and many, many friends who she loved.
Laurie was deeply devoted to her family, with a remarkable gift for bringing everyone together to create beautiful memories.
Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial Tuesday 12:00 PM at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, East Islip, NY. Cremation to follow privately.
