Georgia Mavrakis, aged 88, passed away on September 2, 2024, in Bethpage, NY. Born on March 14, 1936, in Sparta, Greece, Georgia was a beacon of kindness and selflessness, always putting others before herself. Her infectious laugh and radiant smile brought joy to everyone around her. Georgia devoted many years to working at Pasta Time, where she was cherished by her colleagues and customers alike. Beyond her professional life, she was deeply involved in her community and an active member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Hicksville, New York. Her early education in Sparta, Greece, laid the foundation for a life of caring and community involvement. Georgia's hobbies included gardening, traveling, going to the beach, and enjoying Greek soap operas, each of which reflected her love for life and her heritage. She leaves behind a legacy of love and unity, survived by her daughter Theodora Mavrakis, her son George Mavrakis, and her granddaughter Alexia O'Brien. Georgia's life was a testament to the power of positivity and the importance of family. Her spirit and legacy will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.
