Keegan, Ellen Justine April 14th, 1932 - August 16th, 2024 It is with profound sadness that the family of Ellen J Keegan of Brightwaters, announces her peaceful passing on Friday August 16th 2024 at the age of 92. Daughter of Helen and George Albrecht, Ellen was born April 14th, 1932 in Bellmore, New York. She was always known for her everlasting kindness, her desire to help others, and her charismatic attitude. Married to Bruce Dugan Keegan from Oceanside on September 12th, 1953, Ellen created a beautiful family of her own and had four daughters Diana, Nancy, Kimberly, and Gabrielle. After graduating from University, Ellen took her desire for helping others and opened her own baby clothing company called Baby Boom Boutique. Afterward, she became a real estate agent working at Prudential for 35 years. Later in her career, Ellen dedicated her time to her local Elementary school working as a Paraprofessional at Gardiner Manor in Bay Shore. Ellen was a very proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who cared deeply for the people she loved. Family, friends, and others whose lives Ellen touched are invited to Chapey’s Funeral Home at 1225 Montauk Hwy, West Islip, NY, 11795, from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Monday, August 19th, 2024, to reminisce, grieve, and support each other.
