While I was only a small part of Kathleen’s career, we worked across the hall for 4 years at BES and had a wonderful friendship. She took me under her wing and helped me tremendously as I navigated a new school and grade level. Kathleen always wanted to share resources, collaborate, and always made me smile! Her laugh lit up the room. We would catch up early in the mornings before the students arrived and make faces and gestures at each other across the hall throughout the school day. We shared many lunches together and spent hours and hours after school chatting. It was evident how much she adored her students and she talked so much about her love for her family. I constantly heard stories of her children and husband. It was a pleasure working with her and she left a memorable impact on my life. May your memory be for a blessing.

Keeney was fiercely protective of her kids and inspires me to be a better parent. Like everyone I'll miss her welcoming laugh and smile. Plus the accented way she pronunced my name ("Christopha")!

What I'll always remember most of all is Aunt Keeney's laugh. Whether at one of my dumb jokes or a Williams family story about the "good ole days", she always had a great sense of humor, just one of the many ways she'd light up a room. What a joy it was to have her as an aunt.
Love,
Tom

To the family, my condolences. I was a student in her second grade class years ago and she was a wonderful person to have as a teacher.

In memory of Kathleen, I want to express how deeply I will miss her. Despite the distance that separated us in our adult lives, Kathleen remained my dearest and closest friend for an incredible 50 years. We shared countless wonderful experiences together, from our carefree days riding bikes throughout Amityville, to seeking refuge from the heat in the local library as teenagers, where we delved into all sorts of fascinating topics. Our journey started at St. Martin’s, continued through St. John’s, our college years, as young adults when I lived down the street from her parents and when we were beginning our careers and families, and raising our children.
No matter how much time passes or how far apart we were, every time we reunited in person at a local NY diner or through our epic 2-3 hour phone calls, it felt as if we had never been apart. We effortlessly continued our conversations, always picking up right where we left off. A constant in our friendship was the heartfelt declaration of love we exchanged before parting ways.
I will forever cherish the bond we shared and the treasure memories we made together. Among the many photographs I hold dear, one captures a beautiful fall weekend in Cortland, when we attended an apple festival and brought back more than apples.
During this difficult time, my thoughts are with Kathleen’s entire family. May they find strength and solace in the love and memories they hold of her.
With love,
Nancy Parmely Daborowski

It was just a few years ago that we celebrated Kathleen’s retirement from teaching. It was on that day I shared with many that she was my “ forever friend”. Kathleen and I both have the faith that her presence and support will be very much alive and “forever “
Kathleen and I were friends for 32 years. My bestie and I shared many laughs, plenty of sorrow and of course the important everyday events. Kathleen was consistently selfless and positive with a joke to follow often.
I will never have a cup of tea ( Lipton only for her), a turkey dinner with all the trimmings ( her favorite meal), the perfect cup of coffee or watch the movie The Quiet Man, without hearing her voice.
To quote Kathleen’s favorite book Beach Music by Pat Conroy… Except for memory, time would have no meaning at all”. You my friend …. Made so many wonderful memories the time you were here with us. Peace be with you always.
Love you,
Nancy ….Your Forever Friend
