PICCIANO - Daniel Rev. Msgr., on Sunday, May 26, 2024. Ordained a priest of the Diocese of Rockville Centre, NY, on May 29, 1971. Named a Prelate of Honor (Monsignor) by Pope John Paul II on August 1, 1996. He served as Associate Pastor at St. Anthony of Padua, East Northport, NY, St. Aidan, Williston Park, NY and St. Agnes Cathedral, Rockville Centre, NY. He served as Diocesan Vocation Director for the Diocese of Rockville Centre and as Pastor of St. James, Seaford, St. Peter of Alcantara, Port Washington and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Lake Ronkonkoma. Msgr. Picciano retired from active ministry in 2017. Wake Thursday May 30, 2024, from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM at St. James Church, Seaford. Vigil Mass Thursday May 30, 2024, at 7:30 PM at St. James Church, Seaford. Funeral Mass Friday May 31, 2024, at 11:00 AM, St. James Church, Seaford. Interment to follow at Holy Rood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Pius X Residence for Retired Priests, c/o Diocese of Rockville Centre. Arrangements entrusted to The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Bethpage Funeral Home.
