Obituary
George was surrounded by his loved ones at home when he passed away on May 17th, 2024. His age was 86. He is survived by his wife Charlene of 50 years of marriage, his children Joseph, Vivian, Craig, George, Kenneth, and Selene, his grandchildren Cheri and Andrea, his father-in-law and close friend Sonny. He was always proud of his military background. He was talented and extremely spirited like no other man. He grew up in the hard years of New York. He worked hard and became successful in the flooring industries. He was an outstanding man, he took care of everything. His talents are endless. He could fix anything, even people's problems. He retired very late in life and enjoyed his final years in Florida which he loved, he was always very artistic in drawing and carving. George enjoyed the Florida Keys. His favorite was Islamorada. He loved fishing and swimming there, and dining out underneath the stars at his favorite restaurant, The Lorelei. George also loved the casino, he and his wife on Friday nights would go there gaming, stay overnight, and dine out. He enjoyed swimming as a pastime also. His greatest attributes that he has shown everyone was forgiveness. We will all miss you, you have engraved your love into our hearts forever.

George was my friend. He was like a second father to me. My father and brotherinlaw loved him as well. He taught me so much about the carpet trade when we worked together. He made us laugh so much even through the worst jobs, I miss you George!

George was one of the few I admired deeply. He treated me as a daughter, & I felt for him as my only real father figure. I loved sitting on the couch listening to his life stories. It made me happy to fix up his car that meant so much to him, & any other projects where he would sit out with me. He made me feel welcomed, respected, & loved. I'll miss him dearly, but I know he'll always be with me. Most importantly, he was an amazing father, & a wonderful husband.

George was a supportive Father and amazing man.
He was our Superman.
He was tough yet, his heart was full of love for all the people in his life that he considered his family.
I will miss him everyday.

George was well known to install upscale sophisticated and extraordinary carpet designs for the rich and famous such as Lucille Ball, Donald Trump's buildings and also in 5-star hotels in Saudi Arabia and cruise liners. His skill level brought him international recognition.
He was proud of his military service in both Korea and Germany during the Korean War. He fought on the front lines and helped to save many lives. He was a brave soldier and an excellent military strategist.
George, you will be dearly missed by both your son, George Gregory and Heather Burke
