In Lieu of Flowers

On March 29, 2023, Andrew Jongbloed Jr, a beloved husband to his predeceased wife of 73 years, Elizabeth, father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away at age 95. Andrew, fondly known as Buddy or Bud, was an incredible soul, full of life and love for all those around him. Everyone who met him would find a friend for life, whether to talk about his beloved Yankees, to play a round of golf back in the day, or now to play cards and swap stories. You could always count on Buddy to tell stories, he was full of experiences and lessons learned that he would bring to life with his words. He was also highly skilled at woodworking and loved to share these pieces with his friends and family - be it an original lawn decoration, a birdhouse, a paper towel holder, or a classic Santa candy cane holder. These items will be cherished and passed down, just as his stories, his smile, his kindness, and his strength will all be spoken of in years and years to come. He is survived by his loving children and their spouses, Deborah and (predeceased) Michael, Andrea and Stephan, and Andrew and Tracy. As well as his seven cherished grandchildren with their significant others, Stephan and Heather, Daniel and Samantha, Kenneth and Krystina, Michael and Kaitlyn, Elizabeth and Anthony, Andrew and Brianna, and Ashley. He is also survived by his precious great grandchildren, Brody and Jack. He has future great grandchildren on their way, they are sure to hear many stories of his life and love. In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to the St Jude's Children's Hospital.
