Beloved brother of Catherine (Paul) Desjardins, J. Kevin Sparks, Jeffrey (Claire) Sparks and Cynthia (Robert) Dreher. Loving partner of Heather Hendzel for the past 3 years. Chris was born in West Islip on March 31, 1964, and grew up in Babylon. He was involved in all recreation sports that the town offered. Chris was a graduate of Babylon High School where he wrestled and played football. He relished telling stories of his days working on the boats at Captree Boat basin. After graduating high school, he attended New York Maritime at Fort Schyler. As a young adult, he moved to Chicago, Illinois for employment and remained in Bolingbrook to be close to his son, Bobby. While in Chicago, Chris obtained his license as an MRI Technician from Triton College and worked at Edward Hospital. In 2015, Chris moved back to Babylon and worked at St. Catherine’s Hospital.

.

Known for his easy-going and lighthearted personality, Chris could light up a room with his many jokes and stories.
