Obituary

Peacefully passed away in her 90th year on St. Patrick’s Day surrounded by her family. Loving wife of 53 years to the late Gerald. Beloved mother of Karen Genett, Nancy Siehl (Tim), Thomas Saloy, Martin Saloy, Frances Barcavage (Donald), Stephanie Sammarco (Gerry), and MaryEllen Madison. Adored grandmother of Megan Siehl (Adam), Erin Genett, Caitlin Siehl, Stephen Genett (Emma), Brandon Saloy, Sgt. Brian Barcavage, Miranda Madison, Juliana Sammarco, and Patrick Barcavage. Overjoyed great grandmother of Toby Cohen-Westbrooke. Predeceased by sisters Frances Ryan and Colleen Wolferd. Known to everyone as Mimi, she lit up the world for all around her with her bubbly spirit and personality. Small in stature, she modeled love, strength, and hope. We will celebrate her life and memory at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Bethpage Funeral Home, 20 Hicksville Road (1 mile north of Southern State Parkway, Exit 29), Tuesday, March 19, 3-5pm and 7-9pm.
