shirley, my first crush. you were about 20, I was about 8.
you were assisting dr lapook at his first office, home based in west hempstead.
my folks and I continued wih Sid into his and my later years.
you were always smiling and uplifting in spirit even after personal tragedy struck your family.
I look at the posted picture and can see you as a kid.
So beautiful inside and out.
rest in peace knowing that you lived a purposeful life and brought joy to many.

My Dearest Shirley
I am so saddened to hear of your passing, You will always be an important part of our "work family." You taught us to be loyal, compassionate and dedicated to always to put yourself in the other person's shoes. You were the hardest working person I've known and instilled in me values I take with me everyday. I sometimes ask myself "what would Shirley do"? I remember the countless conversations and advice you gave about life... you taught me so much. I will always cherish the memories and our friendship you will always be in my heart. Rest in Peace. My deepest condolences to your family.

I have many memories of my cousin, Shirley.I spent the summers, back in the 50s, at my Aunt Katie's house whom she lived with. Shirley taught me how to make a bed.The corners had to be tight and neatly tucked in. I learned to groom myself, brush my hair, good hygiene and all the girly things I learned from her. She would talk with me as she was getting ready for her date with Joe.She was so pretty and kind I thought. Yes, I have many fond memories of Shirley. MY heart felt sympathy to her family and all who knew and Loved her.

My deepest condolences to the family and loved ones. Shirley was my cousin in the fondest memory. she was always kind. She was thoughtful and caring. When Joe and her first got their apartment, I stayed there for a while because my parents were away and during this time the confirmation of faith led me to take her name for my confirmation. So she remains in memory, and I am honored . Rest in sweet peace with your loved ones.
