Aunt Sarah, you were a joy to be around whether it was when you visited Ireland or when I met you and Mary in New York or chatted to you on the phone. In New York you were adamant to bring me around the sights in particular St Patrick's cathedral and that McDonald's had the best coffee! My sincere condolonces to Kitty and Joe and my extended family in the USA and Ireland.

My sincere condolences to my extended family, Aunt Kitty & Uncle Joe, all my cousins in Ireland, and around the USA; I only have good and fund memories of Aunt Sarah, I remember her coming to Chicago when I was a child. We made a big banner to welcome her, so excited to see her. She was fun to be around and to play & pray with. I remember when herself and Aunt Mary stayed at my home when they came for Margaret’s wake and mass. They prayed a rosary with my friends, Aunt Kitty came to America at that time with her daughter Mary Margaret . So blessed are we to have such beautiful and loving Aunts, (and uncles) that had such great Irish humour, to make sad events pleasant. The memories of that generation will live on in our hearts forever. Truly we were blessed to be in their presence. Always a good laugh and they always gave wise consul. I have such good memories of my time with Sarah and Mary each time over the years when I visited with them in New York. The first time was when Sarah & her brother John were living in the Bronx in a building near the Hudson River. I thought that time was magical. It was the time of Uncle John ‘s marriage to Aunt Isa. I remember dancing with Aunt Sarah, she had greenish Floral dress on. She was so beautiful and funny. Mary & John Kelly lived in the same building. Sarah had a way of making a child feel special. I learned a lot about prayers and kindness from them. Sarah liked to sing, I remember her having a lovely voice. It could be an Irish song or a hymn to Our Blessed Mother. Surely she is in heaven with her parents and siblings, singing Our Lord’s praises, with the angels and saints.

Condolences to the extended Sherman family on the passing of Aunt Sarah. Sarah was always very kind with a great sense of humour and I have fond memories of her - especially of her visits to Ireland when I was a child. May her soul rest in peace.

I did not see you close your eyes or hear your last sigh.I only heard that you were gone, too late to say goodbye. As we bid farewell to Aunt Sarah.Let us honor her memory by striving to live with the same integrity, compassion and zest for life. Aunt Sarah knew that in life, no matter how great the sorrow, there was always room for laughter. Forever in our hearts. May you RIP.
