Very saddened to hear of James passing. We went to school together at Our Lady of Lourdes from first grade to fourth grade. It's strange to say but we were great friends during that time. Played soccer every single day in the parking lot at school. Rode my bike to his house so many times and he did the same at my house. Lost touch through the years but would run into each other at random times. Played a lot of street hockey in those days. Saw him at Suffolk Community College in one of my business classes. His son ended up buying a house on my block in East Islip so I saw him again recently. I always felt a connection to James since those early days at school and all the times in the neighborhood in Bayshore. I have nothing but fond memories. I think he came up with the worst nickname for me of all time from our time at Our Lady of Lourdes. He called me screwball Scrivano but I can't remember what I called him. It sounds like he led a very full and wonderful life surrounded by lots of friends and family. Great guy that clearly impacted a lot of people and will be sorely missed.

To my friend James,
I will remember you for your un wavering determination for perfection and your inability to say no when asked to do a favor. You have touched so many lives, you have touched mine.
From the time our sons rolled around on the Gymboree mat to the seasonal decorations of 2023 with your special touch, I will always be grateful we became friends.
I will miss you.

Karen and family. I am so sorry. James was a special guy. He danced to his own drum and never needed to be like anyone else. I remember when we were young we were all so broke. We would get up really early in the morning and drive to Robert Moses before the toll booth opened, so we didn’t have to pay. We would pick James up. He was always ready with his ice tea and lunch, that he never wanted to share with us! He will be greatly missed. So sorry. All my love Diane Telese Licata.

We love you James! All the fun memories our families had together hold a special place in our hearts. You holding Clay Clay & taking him in overnight when Maebelle came into the world. Helping me with my trees and answering all my crazy questions. Messing around with Mae Mae. Making me take pics of Clayton in your classic car. Celebrating birthdays and milestones together. Taking us to Fire Island on the boat and sooooo many laughs. You were a hard worker who loved us and loved your family. Thank you for sharing your life with us. We will miss you and love you always.
