Angela Micari, 90, of West Islip, NY passed away peacefully with family at her side January 2nd, 2024. Born in Sicily, Italy. She came to the United States with her late husband, Angelo Micari, in 1955 at 22 years old where they lived in Brooklyn, NY for 54 years. Most recently she lived in West Islip, NY. Angela worked as a seamstress her whole life, including working for a period of time for Kleinfled Bridal. She also had a passion for cooking and made sure everyone was more than full at all times. She enjoyed hosting holidays for her family, particularly Christmas, where she proudly displayed her ever growing Christmas village. No matter if you were family, friend, or met one time, everyone fell in love with her strong willed and loving personality. Predeceased by her husband, Angelo Micari. She is survived by her twin sister, Isabella; 2 daughters, Anna and Isabel (Richard); 2 grandchildren, Alaina (Ryan) and Matthew; 2 great grandchildren, Mia and Joseph. Relatives and Friends are invited to celebrate the Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s R.C. Church, Bay Shore, LI on Thursday 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY. Visitation Thursday 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers and to further honor Angela’s generous spirit, family request donations be made to a charity close to your heart in memory of Angela.
