William J Tobin passed away peacefully on December 1, 2023 in Melville NY. William was born February 3, 1930 to William and Katherine (Hollahan) Tobin in Brooklyn New York. He studied at Saint Mary’s Seminary in North East PA during his high school years. He then proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War. Following an honorable discharge he worked at NY Telephone company for 38 years. Bill enjoyed gardening, spending time with family but mostly being with his wife of 65 years, Julia. They were truly an example of love and devotion to the very end. He is survived by Julia, sons Thomas (Lynne) Terence (Laurie) William (Janelyn) and daughters Mary Serra (John) and Jean McDermott (John). He also enjoyed his nine grandchildren and two great children. Bill was predeceased by his beloved brother John of Pittsburgh PA and grand daughter Jennifer Tobin.
