Robert (Bob) E. Westerberg, of Brentwood, NY passed away on November 29th, 2023 with his three sons by his side. Bob was born on November 7th, 1931 to Hilder and Gustav Westerberg. He grew up in Woodhaven, Queens where he met his wife Ernestine. Bob joined the US Marine Corp in 1952, and ultimately joined the FDNY, serving the City of New York for 32 years. He was a passionate NY Yankees and Rangers fan, as well as an avid boater. Bob was quite humorous and the ultimate prankster. He is survived by his three sons, Bob, Rich and Ron. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Chapey & Sons Funeral Home (200 East Main Street, East Islip, NY 11730) on Monday, December 5th, 2023. Funeral services to take place at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 6th. Bob will be laid to rest at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY. The family will be there to welcome friends and relatives.
