I Always had a lot of Fun When I got to stay at your house when visiting New York. I enjoyed our Time together and getting to know my Great Uncle Gee, I loved playing in the pool, and had a great time meeting you and the rest of My cousins, I remember the first time you hid my nose,

I had the pleasure of getting to know Gerard and Ginny from their joyous visits to Sparkling Pointe over the years, and I always enjoyed seeing and talking with them. Kind, generous, people who were lots of fun(!), and they were especially supportive and sympathetic to all of my late father’s then health emergencies, trials and tribulations at the time. Gerard could quite literally empathize with what I was telling them since, sadly, he of course struggled with some of the same chronic conditions. It meant so much to me that people I didn’t even know all that well, at first, cared so genuinely, and never failed to ask me how both my family and I were doing, especially in the midst of such an exceedingly difficult time.
A dear, funny, and loving, lovable man he was, and I will certainly miss Gerard and his unmistakable, friendly, husky voice, and the warm hugs he gave…
My deepest condolences to his beloved sister Ginny, and the entire, extended Wilson Family — may God and His Holy Son Jesus Be With You during your time of grief, and may He also fill your hearts and minds with all the wonderful memories Gerard gave to you, the whole while knowing what a fine example he was for what a good man is.
Rest In Peace, Gerard
Respectfully, Michael Sorvino

I’m thankful to have had a relationship with Gerard these past couple of years. I’m so grateful to know his kindness and faith. He was always smiling and so easy going. I appreciated his hugs and all the times we spent together. I will forever hold his spirit of love of family and life close to my heart.
Ken, Kevin, Katarina, Sean and I have enjoyed sharing our love of the Islanders with him too! We’ve had some wonderful times together and he will be so missed by his cousins.
We send our prayers and love. We are here for you as we try to deal with such a huge loss.
