Richard Nohrmann Schonberg passed November 20, 2023 in Amityville, NY. He was born July 16, 1942 in the Bronx, NY and was predeceased by his parents Leif Schonberg and Esther nee Toth. Richard attended divinity school, was a longtime NY State employee and lived most of his life in Flushing. He was a Mensa member, opera lover, history and movie buff, gourmand, lover of travel and loquacious storyteller. He is survived by his cousins Lise Moller, Elizabeth Schonberg, Katherine Perine, Susan Helmuth, Janne Schonberg Jacobsen, Frank Schonberg, and other Danish cousins, as well as his longtime friends Chris and Margaret McCaslin, Joanne Reuter and Sally and Randy Peabody
