Obituary
On September 16, 2023, Felicia Marie Rocchio went for a ride on her new motorcycle with excitement in her heart and an ear-to-ear grin across her face. As God would have it, that was the last and best day of her earthly life, as she rode right through the gates of heaven into the long-awaited and loving embrace of Christ. Every part of Felicia’s life was fueled by passion and curiosity. She used every ounce of energy she had to love and follow Jesus. And even after the challenging journey to becoming a Doctor in Physical Therapy, she was eager to learn anything she could to bring more healing and comfort to her patients. For Felicia, there were no lines between work, life, worship, and adventure; she brought the same vibrant, silly, and bubbly energy to anything she did. On this side of her eternal life, the beach was her home, seashells were her currency, and sloths were her spirit animal. Her vitamins came in heavy doses of sunshine, palm trees, and playing with Kai — her dog and closest confidant. If she were writing this, there’s no way she’d get through it without using her own made-up language with words like “shmigumps” and “shmatagutz.” Or to really drive her point across: “to the jigga watts.” Since the day Felicia was born, she was strong-willed and ready to run full speed toward everything life had to offer.
*
She paved a path of mischief for her three younger siblings, and yet, made it her job to protect them. It didn’t matter if they were fighting, inventing new shenanigans, sneaking out, or watching endless re-runs of Friends; there were few things she loved as much as being with her brother and sisters. If there was an opportunity to surprise someone or make their day, she’d do it without a second thought. If there was a gift she thought her family or friends would love, she’d get it. No matter where she went, she showed up with a beaming smile on her face and joy in hand. Her father, Domenic, is left with rich memories of many Bible studies, Felicia’s surprise visits, and their yearly tradition of happy belated birthday jokes. Inheriting her bottomless collection of tropical treasures and preserving their mutual affection for dogs is her mother, Jodi, aka Momma Jingles. She handed the baton of chasing the world’s best sunsets and lobster rolls to her sister, Angelina. Antonette, her youngest sister, will always cherish their puppy ice cream dates and continue holding tightly to Felicia’s spirit of strength in her service journey as a police officer. And left to carry the torch of silliness and pursue adventure in her honor is Felicia’s brother, Francesco, his wife, Charlotte, and their son, Theo. We know that the memories and impact of her love extend far beyond immediate family; she shared that love with so many. If you’d like to join us in remembering the color and goofiness she brought in the thirty-three years God let her be with us, there will be a memorial visitation Tuesday, Sep 26 and a funeral service Wednesday, Sep 27. Time and location details can be found above.

So sad to learn of this heartbreaking news. I met Felicia while we worked together at Outback. As the “senior” coworker I didn’t spend a lot of time socializing with coworkers. However, Felicia was such a good soul I felt comfortable referring her to a connection for her internship. I’m very close to the vest yet I KNEW Felicia would shine as she always did.

My heart breaks for all of you in Felicia’s family! That precious little girl o had in my class! So sweet anlwsys smiling. Loved everyone ! There are just some kids you can’t forget when they leave your class or my team. Your girls Felicia and Antonette are such girls! When I said that to my husband Doug he said “Frankie, too! What a great kid!”All of them a testament to your beautiful family!
Her infectious smile and twinkle in her eye and how much she loved everyone shines through in every picture! I can’t help but feel that this should not be happening. “ His will. Not mine “ May God bless you all as you keep Felicia in your hearts until you meet again!

A beautiful smile and a beautiful soul gone much to soon. You came into the family and we couldn’t help but love you. You and Whitni were two goofy and funny girls who loved each other as only sisters could. Missing the sound of your voice saying “Hey Auntie Londa” is going to be difficult but with the wings you’ve earned I know you are in good hands. Felicia I love you and will miss you deeply but I have peace knowing that you are a part of my heart that I can carry every day. You earned your wings so continue to soar high.
My prayers to the family and right now the journey may seem unmeasurable but just remember you have a village here for you.

To the Rocchio Family,
I met Felicia through Whitni some years back. Little did I know, we would become friends too. Her warmth, kindness and happy go lucky spirit made me feel like we had already known each other forever and we instantly clicked. We would laugh at everything. And anyone that was willing to ride stuffed animals around the mall with me was my kind of person. I felt compelled to share this story with you because I wanted you to know that Felicia touched the hearts of so many, even those you have never personally met before. I hope that this small, but meaningful story will provide you all with some solace during this time of insurmountable loss. I am sending all of my love and condolences to your family.

Words cannot express the sadness I feel for you, Jodi. I did not need to know her to know the love of a mother and daughter, and my heart breaks for you as you navigate through this extremely trying time. It is with a full and heavy heart that I write this message. Felicia was one of the first “true” friends to my daughter, Whitni, and like another child of my own. At least in my mind. Since Middle School they bonded and remained glued to one another. If Felicia wasn’t at my house Whitni was at hers and in between driving both me and Mrs. Rocchio a little bit bananas. No matter what you had to love them. Full of energy, overly bubbly and some days just plain old air heads! They believed they wanted to be “dancers” at one time, something that still cracks me up and I told them both to have a seat and stop talking stupid. That’s how I talked to them. Thank goodness they finally came down from the clouds and got it together, I couldn’t be more proud of them. This life often comes with many turns and detours but they managed to figure it out, thank God. While I am truly saddened and struggle with this loss I must rely on the many fond memories my family and I had with her. I can hear Felicia’s voice screaming, “ Hey Ms. Rhonda!” And that hearty laugh with that huge smile… it will give me some comfort over the days, months and moments to come. My sincere condolences to the Rocchio family. Always here if/when you might need me.
