I was saddened when Fred Weiler told me of the passing of coach Reese. My deepest condolences to Mrs. Reese and the entire Reese family. I was one of his students and also on the lacrosse team he started. He taught us all a lot about lacrosse and also about life and pride in being part of a team. He was a very important part of my life during those years and I know he will be missed.

I first got to know Walter Reese when I started substitute teaching at my brother and his kids’ school lWest Babylon . I watched him go head to head every year in football seemingly battling for a league title year after year . I later got to hear all the stories about his coaching as I got to know his sons and later him. I remember him standing there with a wry smile , cigar in mouth, and giving great advice. His educational career and his family are a testament to a life well lived.Pat McA
