Every memory of James, and there are many, he is smiling and laughing. Always making everyone around him feel good & laugh too! One of my funniest memories was taking the train to the city to see a concert. I don’t even remember which band but I do remember hearing someone name the stops over the loud speaker but everyone in our train car was laughing… when I looked over there he was. James putting his hand to his mouth pretending he was taking into the PA system and sounding exactly like it! Static and all… good times. He was one of a kind, an original, never to be duplicated. My
Most sincerely condolences to you Marie, “Mama Keesh”, & of course Ray and your entire family. I know he will be watching over all of you & will probably playing some pranks real soon so get ready. May he rest in peace. God bless you all

My heart is heavy but I know you are smiling down upon those you have cherished your entire life. I remember you and 3 friends piling in my car (yes, we were allowed to do that back then) and going to a teen conference representing Plainedge H.S. Every girl in Nassau County wanted dates with you guys. I was literally getting calls for weeks from the other schools about how impressive you and your friends were. When Mr. Pizzarelli reached out to me his words were that he was saddened to have to tell me about what happened because he knew how much I loved you. And, yes, I am sad. And, yes, it's true. I have held your well being in my heart since you were a teenager. I respected your journey and I know you are watching over your loved ones. I hope they know, especially your mom, how much they have always meant to you. You had a beautiful soul...and through your journey ...whether we agreed or disagreed with the choices you made....I respected your road. God has now taken that beautiful soul to heaven. He's got more work for you there, I'm sure. Smile upon us as we journey on. We need your smile to remain in our hearts.

My loyal, devoted, dearest forever friend and family member, James Brian. I will love you and miss you, like crazy, for the rest of my life. I will cherish every single lifetime memory we made. Going out to Orient and Greenport every July 17th and August 16th (with YOU, who is one of my very dearest friends) will continue til the day I die. Thank you for ALWAYS making me smile. Have a wonderful heavenly celebration with Michael and Poppa Keesh.
I promise to always “watch for the signs.”
Love,
Dawn

James was a dear friend of my husband Tommy. He was in an our wedding party did a reading at our wedding was the life of the party and heart of gold. My nephews were diagnosed with a fatal disease and James built this incredible ramp for my nephews to get into my parent house. He built it with his heart and soul. My parents and my whole entire family were forever grateful to James. All he wanted in return was lasagna. James thank you for making me laugh till I cried and putting a smile on so many faces. You will be forever loved and never forgotten.
With much love,
Trina Boneville

Ryan has been my very good friend since I was in the 1st grade. I met James as a teenager and he immediately was making me laugh. As an adult there were times I just hung out with James and Bella and it was very fun. He was a talented craftsman and artist and I always admired his work. I looked up to him for his wisdom that comes from the full life he lived. I'll miss him and his creative energy and his squirrel houses. James was the man. The keesh. The best diddy. Love you bro!!!!!!!

James was a great man, and a great friend. In my experience of growing up with his son, Ryan, James was the epitome of a cool dad. Whenever we got into trouble, his first response was never “how could you?!” it was always “are you alright?” He always treated me like family, and I always felt at home at his house. I’ll miss his great stories, his optimistic attitude, and his almost cartoonish laugh. I am grateful to have known him.
