My life was forever changed the first day we met. I will forever feel blessed to have been loved by such an amazing person. To have been in your presence was truly a privilege. The way that you made everyone in your vicinity made to feel like the most special and most important person is a gift that only the privileged was able to feel. My heartfelt condolences to Dorothy, Jacklynn, Marianne, Elizabeth, and all Patrick’s family. Patrick, We started out young and naïve, thinking we had all of life’s answers, only to realize we had so much to learn. Although our time in Virginia together was brief, I still cherish our weekends with Jacklynn, Roger, Danielle, and Jenna (& Bear, I guess), our talks, dinners, nights out, nights in, and all of those ‘Firsts’ we experienced together. It was through our talks, that you affectionately earned the nickname Chatty Patty. I vividly remember wanting more than anything for you to be quiet, for just five minutes, but you never would. Now I long to hear your voice just one more time. We both lived a lifetime since then. We talked each other through illness, accidents, loss, and happier times. It was comforting to know we had each other still, if simply supportive friends, and I am grateful that we stayed connected. I treasure those conversations, texts, calls and visits these last twenty+ years. You are already missed deeply Chatty and your death will leave a deep void in many lives, including mine. You were the last person in my life still allowed to call me Tommy. Thank you for being a constant in my life for all these years.
