I was saddened and shocked to hear about Steve's passing. I worked with Steve for a number of years while I was with KeySpan Energy and LIPA. Steve was always a pleasure to work with and a true gentleman. What I will always remember about Steve was his sense of humor. He always made me laugh in the midst of our crazy workdays. While I know there are many people saddened with the loss of this good man I know that Heaven is richer because a truly good and honorable man has joined the ranks of the angels.

Hi everyone,
My name is Joe. I grew up with Mike and Matt and spent most of my childhood with the Cantores. Very quickly, I became a part of the family and Steve became Uncle Steve to me. As I sit here thinking back upon many years of wonderful memories, I feel such gratitude to have had such an awesome person play such a pivotal role in my life. From going on family vacations, taking trips to the movie theater to see the latest releases and enjoying fireworks on the Fourth of July, Uncle Steve was always so much fun to be around.
Most importantly, Uncle Steve’s love for his family and friends was always his top priority. If you ever needed anything, he would always be willing to help (even if he would joke around with you a bit haha). Uncle Steve’s dedication to Aunt Donna and the rest of his family is something that inspires me. Uncle Steve was a mentor, confidant, and most importantly - a beloved friend. If I can become half the man that Uncle Steve was, I will consider myself to be very lucky.
Uncle Steve, you will always live in my heart and I will never forget all that you have done for me.
Love,
Joe
