Obituary

Mr William Patrick Morris, “Willie”, age 84, passed away at home February 12th with his family at his side. He was born in Red Hook, Brooklyn, NY on May 18, 1938 to Elizabeth (Libby) & Patrick Morris. He was drafted into the Army and married his wife, Lynn Marie Nelson on October 14, 1961 prior to shipping out to serve in Germany. He had a strong work ethic both at his jobs and at home. He was always available to help build something or fix something…whatever his family needed, he was there. He was a talented mason & craftsman. He worked on all our houses, cars and anything else that needed it. He retired from Pilgrim State Psychiatric Hospital and then continued to work part time jobs up to age 82. His most beloved part-time job was being a “Poppy”. Babysitting his grandchildren, driving them home from school, teaching them his trade, cheering them on at their sports. He taught them to drive as patiently as he taught his daughters. He loved his dogs over the years as well as all our pets who he would care for too. He was always available to help his family. He was the loving husband of almost 62 years to Lynn Marie Nelson Morris. He was the cherished Dad of his 3 Girls, Lynn (Frank) Antonawich, Christine Adams (Randy) & Victoria (Jimmy) Torella. He was Poppy to 6 Grandchildren, Frankie, Ryan, Danny (Brianna) & Katie Antonawich, Eva Adams, & Richie Torella. Danny & Brianna, Blessed him with his first Great-Grandchild, Elizabeth Grace, who brought him great joy.
