Linda J. DeMasters
December 22, 1958 – December 31, 2022
Linda J. DeMasters, age 64, passed away in the early hours of December 31st surrounded by her family. Linda was born December 22, 1958 in Levittown NY to the late Joan and Gerard Becker.
Linda spent the majority of her life living in West Islip, NY, a devoted wife to Carl and caring mother to Eric and Kimberly. Linda was a beacon of positivity and light, always seeing the good in the people and situations that made up her life. Her ear was an attentive one, always listening and offering needed sympathy and advice. She had a great love for music and theater, often attending performances with her daughter over the years. She was a bright and unique soul, bringing joy to all those fortunate enough to have her in their lives.
In addition to her kindness to the people around her, Linda was also a devoted parent to many cats, dogs and other animals that all experienced tranquil lives in the happy home she provided to each of them over the years.
Linda is predeceased by her parents Gerard and Joan and brother-in-law Bill.
Linda is survived by and leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her husband of 38 years, Carl DeMasters. She is also survived by her sister Patricia Rice, brother-in-law Bob, nephew Ian and niece Kerri; sister-in-law Harriet, niece Kelly and nephew Dave, niece Kristen and nephew Richard and nephew Jason and niece Jessica.
Linda will be dearly missed by her children: Eric DeMasters and Kimberly DeMasters, as well as the members of her immediate and extended family.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 4th from 3pm-5pm and from 7pm-9pm. Funeral service will be Thursday, January 5th at 1pm and will continue to her final resting place at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
