The loss of our uncle has been painful. Tio Armando was an important member of our family, he developed a very close bond with my sister Awilda and me. Our Tio Armando was a dedicated husband to my mother’s sister Titi Nereida. They made their marriage look so effortless. They would do everything together, including shopping, cooking and eating. He dedicated his life to do and give the best to his family.
My Uncle also had a great sense of humor and there was never a dull moment with him. I remember when we were little and until the other day, he would always say that we were his little girls.
Tio Armando, Samuel and me will always be grateful to you because when Samuel was diagnosed for the first time with cancer you were there with us. I remember you would drive Samuel every other day to his radiotherapy sessions, sitting for hours waiting for him. Thank you so, so much.
We have a ton of sweet memories about him, and I could go on telling his tales for days. But I know that would only cover an ounce of his life and it would still be an imperfect explanation of someone we loved so much.
I know that even though he’s gone, he is still there with us, even in the leaves of the trees that he planted around the house.
Thank you for all you did for both of us Tio Armando we will always remember and appreciate what you did for us. Love you always and we promise to watch over our cousin Rory.
May you rest in peace. Your nieces,
Awilda and Anita

I am glad I have had the opportunity to shared time throughout my life with Tio Armando. He was humble, gracious, and appreciative of his roots and upbringing. He always like to talk about Comerio and gallos. That was his passion. More importantly, he was a great father and family man. He was always busy doing something and very resourceful.
I will miss his simple, gracious conversation. Growing up in PR, I always remember Tio Armando and Titi Nereida bringing up Entermans! What a treat! Good memories. Rest in peace, Tio, love you, your nephew, Hector.
