Obituary
James T. (“Jim”) Walsh, 93, of Central Islip, a loving son, father and grandfather, passed away on November 2, 2022. Jim's parents immigrated separately from Ireland and had two children, Jim and Mary Feeney, who died in 2013. Jim was born in East Northport and graduated from St Dominick's Catholic High School. Jim was a devoted husband, married to Annamay for 58 years. Jim is survived by Annamay, his daughter Ursula Scarano (husband John), and his son Jim Walsh Jr. (wife Stephanie), and his four grandchildren Erin, Samantha, Taylor and Jack. Jim was very close to his sister Mary’s children Kathy and John and their families. He was drafted into the army in 1957 serving two years in the Pacific Northwest. Upon his return, he worked for NY State for 37 years as storehouse supervisor, and met his future wife at Pilgrim State Hospital. He loved reading as many mystery/thriller books as possible, playing poker with his family and rooting for the NY Giants every Sunday. May he rest in Peace.

Thinking of all of you at this difficult time. So many memories have been going through my mind these past few days. My childhood memories is the weekly Saturday visits from Uncle Jim and Aunt May. I was lucky I got to see my cousins every week! Uncle Jim was mom's handyman for many years and always there when she needed something. A quiet man, yes but always present. There for every party, celebration, holiday etc...We enjoyed some fun poker games and even at 90 nothing got passed him. I hope I achieved excellence on my Apple Pie. You will be missed at the head of our holiday table. Give Mom a big HUG when you see her. Rest in Peace
Love, Kathy
