This news shook me this morning. Time has seperated us, yet my cheeks are soaked with tears. The 90's wouldn't have been the same without hanging with my brothers from another mother. Prayers to Mikey and his mom, and Kevin's girls. May God grant you strenght. "Remember yesterday, walking hand in hand.... I Remember you"

My deepest condolences to the Petzold family and all that knew and loved him. You are in my thoughts and prayers. It has been a while since I have seen Kevin but have been recalling memories from our youth of running around the soccer and football fields that built a friendship that lasted through high school and beyond. Rest easy my friend.

Kevin and I spoke by phone almost every workday for the past 5 years. We worked at different brokerage firms and viewed each other as friendly competitors. We never met in person but had planned to as he worked in New York, Florida then back in New york. I live in Canada. We began every Monday morning with a recap of each others weekend and a catch up on each others many pets (I have a cat named Kevin!). He was a truly genuine nice guy. When the Monday morning call came in this week and it was to let me know of his passing, I was and remain devastated. My colleagues are similarly impacted. Kev- I'm so sorry you are gone so early. You were a good man. Best to the Petzold family and all Kevin's friends. T

I want to send my condolences to the Petzold family & friends. Kevin & my brother grew up together. I will always remember him coming to our house and hanging out with us. I am so very sorry for your loss. Rest in peace Keven.

I’ll never forget the first day I met you. Mom forgot to pick me up from the ferry and in a hurry she had you drive her to get me. Neither of us were prepared to meet each other and I knew I was so nervous. The moment I stepped into your car I felt completely calm and it was like I knew you my whole life. In the years I have known you, I always felt like you were just meant to be in my life. You always had open arms and treated me like your own. when our mom past in 2007 our hearts were broken and i never thought karen would ever heal. 10 years later she reconnected with her very 1st love from jr.high. kevin mended her broken heart and this sweet gentle man made her whole again. karen & her girls (my family too) were so blessed to have him for the past 5yrs. after leaving for an adventurous year in florida, they returned home to long island, less then a month ago, to be with their family. From the first day we met his wonderful mom, winnie, she took us all in like her own(all 10 of us). words cannot describe the pain we are feeling. taken way too young for the start of their new life -forever heart broken- i love you my ‘little brother, our friend’.. life will never be the same without you-until we’re together again …Peter,Patty,Joey,Jason,Jerard,Jessica,& Catherine

My old friend. My heart is broken. Even though I haven't seen Kevin recently, we always picked up right where we left off. We spent a lot of time together growing up. He feels like a brother to me still. My condolenses to the Petzold family and friends. My prayers are with you always.
