Obituary
VonBevern, Paul, 53, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022. Beloved husband of Karen, devoted father of Erik and Tyler, cherished son of Jane, and adoring fur-Dad of Englebert and Arabella.
Everyone who knew Paul felt his big heart and giving nature. Although an avid sports fan of any genre, hockey was by far his favorite. He never missed a Flyer game and would often be found in the driveway with his boys shooting the puck around. Paul also loved his '80's music whether strumming his bass or jamming to his favorite metal bands. When anyone thinks of him, the word that comes to mind is "respect". It could be a customer at the bank, a perfect stranger, a family member or a lifelong friend. He would always say his greatest accomplishments in life were his two boys, his best buds. He will forever be in our hearts.

Paul,
These last two years of you working by my side each and every day filled me with joy and happiness. I remember how much you expressed the love you have for your family. The way you cherish your wife & the way you were so proud of your boys. There are very few times I would ever compare another man to my father but you were one of those exceptions. I’ll never forget how much u loved to indulge in a good meal. Your laughter would light up a room. The welcoming and harmonious joy you brought to others and how you touched their lives at this bank was quite remarkable and admirable. You were the BIG brother I always wanted. You always listened to me when I was mad, happy or when I just wanted to vent about life. You loved Farkle & always whooped all of our butts at it (and will remain the KING!) .
Finally I’ll leave u with this little note I have prepared:
It’s ok to miss you
It’s ok to cry
Just know I’ll never forget you
This isn’t a permanent Goodbye
May God bless you and your family you are in our “Investor” hearts forever eternally.
Love,
Rosaanna Biagini
Your friend, your little sister
And Coworker

I am a customer of the Bank, and Paul and I would always chat about his kids, how his oldest son recently graduated from Stony Brook University, now proud he was of both his boys and his barbecues! Paul always took the time to make a customer like myself, feel like you were more than simply a customer, but a friend.
I felt so bad when I heard from Donna today, about Paul passing away so suddenly. When I went to the Bank today, I expected to pick up where Paul and I left off in the conversation we had the last time I saw him...always about his kids, wife and family. I am so very sorry for your loss and will remember Paul's family when I go to Mass and light a candle for him and for his family to get through this, the best that they can.
It's not easy and Paul will always be remembered for the nice guy that he was. Just know that there are people out thinking of him and his family in this very sad time.

I’ve worked with Paul for about 4 years at the bank and he was not just a co-worker, he was family. I actually liked to tease him that he was my much older brother when in fact we are about the same age. He had a great sense of humor and we would spend most of the day laughing about one thing or another. We all know Paul loved to talk, he would talk to anyone. Conversations usually started with I live in Bethpage, I have 2 boys & they play basketball. Paul would even talk to the guys from Iavarone in Spanish, I’m not sure he always knew what they were saying or even what he was saying some of the time but it was just important to him to try & they loved him for it. They are all devastated as we all are. There will never be another like him and the world is a sadder place for it. We love you Paul & will miss our Family Fun Weekends. You will forever be the King of Farkle

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Paul for the last 2 and a half years. Each day that I came to work I felt like I was hanging out with my brother. We would throw a football around in the bank and talk for an hour at a time. We usually started the conversation with what Karen made for dinner the night before and how jealous I was. I always told Paul he was the gentleman I aspire to be. A gentle and sweet man who's greatest joys were his Family, food and sports. It is amazing to see the amount of love being expressed here at the bank by his customers and peers. Paul, thank you for the friendship, guidance and joy you brought us all each day at work. Sending all my love and prayers to his family.

Growing up on Avoca Ave, Paul was one of my first friends. Playing roller hockey listening to the Casey Kasem weekend countdown, listening to the band the police in his room and watching soap operas in the back den. A gentle Giant who always stuck up for the little guy. I have many fond memories of our childhood together. Glad I got to speak to you, about a month ago, outside your house. Rest In Peace Paul!

Paul was such a kind and humble person. I can’t find one person who would say a negative thing about him.
Always had that sly grin and big laugh. We shared a love for music, although our tastes were different but we could talk for hours about new albums, concerts, etc.
Every time I hear Soundgarden I think of PVB. First time I heard of them was when Paul placed a potable radio on an outdoor picnic table, pressed play and said “now listen to this”.
We haven’t spoken in awhile due to busy lives, so it’s been some time since I’ve seen him but I know I’ll never forget him.
We shared a love for hockey as well. He’s the biggest Flyers fan I know. So many nights on a paved parking lot playing roller hockey or dek hockey. I loved playing defense in front of him in net. He’ll forever be my goalie!!
I hope that Jane, Karen and the boys can find some peace in all of the great things people will tell them about Paul.

A kinder, gentler giant of a man this world has not known.
I had the good fortune of meeting and getting to know Paul through his cousins, as
our lives in the world of banking crossed. In banking, he knew the bank clients and his teammates on a personal level and
had meaningful conversations with them about family, sports, music and their finances. Paul never
questioned what needed to be done, he was always there to help the team to get it done.
A devoted husband and incredibly proud father, I attended several OLM Galas and events with him and his family over the years with my wife and my family and got to re-connect with my old OLM roots for which I am so forever thankful for.
Over the past few years, we lost touch as we moved on to different banking institutions and I regret not staying in closer communication with him.
God bless you Paul and watch over your beloved family! You will be missed here on earth~
God got a good one to join his team- This toast is to you PVB!
Sincerely,
John & Debbie Savarese
