I was Linda's Assistant at Variety for years. She was a wonderful teacher but even more an unforgettable friend to all she came in contact with. Linda and I was friends for years. She was a bridesmaid in my wedding and I was there when she married Tom . As many friends do in life we stay in contact for a while . I came to see Logan when he first came home from the hospital. Lindsey i met you when mom stopped by with you during a summer when you we very young .i remember that day because you had a broken leg in a cast that was bigger then you . She was so proud to be your mom she loved you and Logan both so very much. As the years went passed unfortunately we lost contact, sometimes happens in life no ones fault just life. I have nothing but beautiful memories of the years of the time we shared. Linda was a fun, kind, and was so passionate about everything she did. I will always remember her smile.
You are all in my prayers.

My deepest condolences to you and your family,
My daughter Michele (who is now 21 yrs old) had the amazing privilege of being in Mrs Lippolt's class in 4th grade. Mrs. Lippolt took Michele under her wing and helped her so much that year with some organizational issues that Michele was struggling with. I couldn't thank Mrs Lippolt enough for all of her attention and concern she gave to our daughter. I remember at the 4th grade graduation going over to Mrs Lippolt with my husband and thanking her for everything. Her calm grace, her relaxed manner will always be with me. And if my memory serves me right, Mrs Lippolt's birthday is May 1st. Each year after Michele graduated from Parkway, we would go back to see Mrs Lippolt and bring her a cupcake. Her and Michele shared the same birthday. Our hearts are broken upon this unbelievable loss. I just want you to know how she touched my daughters life, plus so many other lives. Being a fellow educator, I had the utmost respect for Mrs. Lippolt and her teaching. She added something so very special to her work and her students throughout the years loved her for it.
I am so sorry for your loss. Please know that she touched so many lives in the Plainview community and everywhere she went.

I was a student of Mrs. Lippolt 13 years ago. She has remained my favorite teacher ever since. It is not often that a teacher comes into your life and deeply impacts you. Mrs. Lippolt was that teacher for me. She made the once shy and quiet girl that I was more confident and unafraid to be myself. And as an adult she made me realize that I wanted to be a teacher and one day make a positive impact on a child just as she did for me. I am heartbroken to hear that she left this Earth much too soon but not without impacting the lives of many. Sending my prayers to the Lippolt family during this difficult time.

Mrs. Lippolt was the first teacher to welcome my daughter to Parkway in 1st grade. She was loving, kind and made sure the kids loved school. It was ALWAYS about the kids. My daughter - and I - loved seeing Mrs. Lippolt in the hallways throughout her years at Parkway. She will be greatly missed..... but never forgotten.

To The Lippolt Family,
Our son Max was lucky enough to be a student in Mrs. Lippolt's class this year. We are so grateful for the wonderful care she took in not only him but all of the students in the class. It was so obvious how much she cared for her students. She helped Max transition to first grade and navigate through some changes we've had over the past few months. In my conversations with her this year, I really admired the way she looked after the well being of the whole student as a person and not just the academics. We are thinking of you all and sending our heartfelt sympathy.

Tomas, Logan, Lindsay, Linda's mom and sisters,
I would like to extend my sincerest condolences to the entire Lippolt family. I knew Linda Lippolt as Mrs. Lippolt as my teacher at Parkway 20 years ago and prior to that I knew Mrs. Lippolt at Variety where we first met in the early 90's. While I haven't seen Mrs. Lippolt in nearly 20 years I still remember her fondly. I remember Mrs. Lippolt being caring, supportive, understating and interested in all her students success in school in the classroom, making friends as well as at home. Mrs. Lippolt knew that all three of those factors related to one another and made an effort to help students with the latter two aspects even tho they weren't her primary responsibilities cause she knew her students needed success in all three aspects in order to be well balanced to do well in life and took time on several occasions to discuss divorce knowing that she had students with divorced parents. She also explained how she was a special ed. teacher and it was a special ed class and while the students were special ed students that it didn't make them inferior to any other student. I remember how she did her best to make learning fun and the class play we did as well as several class trips including one to the Bronx Zoo in 1996 where some students overheated as a result of the hot weather and Mrs. Lippolt was genuinely concerned about all her student well beingalobng with other students as well. I remember my last day at Parkway Mrs. Lippolt saying that even tho I would not be in her class or Parkway that she still cared about me and my success and that I was always welcomed to not only visit but to discuss with her any concerns I might have had in middle school. While this is a devastating loss for your family, Parkway and everyone who knew Mrs. Lippolt know that her legacy as a teacher will always live on. RIP Mrs. Lippolt.

She was there for my son during a difficult time in first grade and she looked out for him throughout his years at Parkway. He counted on her as many of the children did. My sincerest condolences to Tommy, Lindsay, Logan and Linda's Mom and sisters. Heaven must have needed another angel because that's exactly what Linda was here on earth. I worked with her for close to 30 years as her Asst. Principal and her Principal. We had an extremely close relationship and I absolutely adored her. She was totally selfless, always putting her family and students first. She had enviable qualities that put her in a unique category of someone totally dedicated to her students, calling parents nightly to provide updates on their children's progress or just to touch base, responding to parents' concerns. She was kind, loving, thoughtful, hardworking, sincere, honest, and the world is a better place because of her. This is a devastating loss for us all and we will miss her terribly, but Linda's indelible mark will be in our hearts and memories forever. I offer myself to the family in any way that will provide comfort at any time.

I was so saddened by the news of Linda's passing.
My heart breaks for all of us touched by Linda but especially Tommy, Logan, Lindsay, Linda's mother and sisters.
I have known Linda for over 30 years. We met at Pre Schoolers Workshop while in our 20s. At that time, as it has continued throughout her career, I was so impressed by Linda's compassion, passion and endless energy to the children and families she worked with. She has made a positive difference in the lives of so so many children.
Linda and I quickly became friends and before she met and fell in love with the handsome Tommy and started her beautiful family, she enjoyed Friday nights at happy hours and dancing at local establishments. All nights ended with alot of laughter!
In the past 26 years, I have lived far away, but Linda and I have remained close and in touch. I would see Linda on my visits back to Long Island and through phone calls and texts . During this time, Linda shared with me her love and pride in her children and Tommy and her love and caring for her mother and sisters. I was always so touched by the closeness of this family.
I have been going through a rough patch and even with Linda's health struggles, she always asked about my situation and gave me comfort and support.
She is the definition of a true friend.
I have always had so much respect for Linda's quiet strength and determination, her endless love and caring for her loved ones, friends and children she works with.
All I can think of to make sense of this, is that God needs Linda's help with some children in Heaven.
To Tommy, Lindsay, Logan, Linda's mom and sisters, Linda's legacy will live on and I know Linda will continue to touch and comfort you.
My prayers and love. Melissa Ovrut Aslin

Our love and sorrow goes to all her family and those that love her and her life.
As a Christian we pray for God's promises of eternal life in Paradise on Earth and as recorded in John 5: 25 and we know that Linda will be reunited with all her love ones.
“Most truly I say to you, the hour is coming, and it is now, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who have paid attention will live. For just as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted also to the Son to have life in himself. And he has given him authority to do judging, because he is the Son of man. Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out,
To that day, we pray to God to give her family faith and hope, and we do that in Jesus name

Hello dear Lippolt family,
I love Linda so very much and have since I supervised her as a superb special education teacher at Variety so many years ago. From the moment I met her, I saw her passion and energy and love of children and dedication to what she felt was right. When Linda made a promise, she stood by it. When she set out to help a child in her class, that child felt her love and devotion.
We have maintained a friendship all these years with birthday cards and Christmas cards and emails. I am so thankful that we met this summer at Phil's in Syosset to talk and re-connect in person.
I feel a huge loss and the world has a loss with Linda's passing on .
I can only imagine what you..as her family who she loved more than anyone or anything in this world and who felt that about her, I am sure, must be feeling. I wish I could wrap you all in a hug of comfort but I know comfort and peace will take time. Linda will never be replaced in your hearts.
I imagine...and maybe it is true...that she is an angel looking down on all of you, protecting and loving you from another realm.
When I lost my parents, I felt an enormous grief although their deaths were at a much later age. I can honestly say that I feel them with me every single day. That love and presence never leaves.
I will be visiting on Monday around 3:00. If there is anything you need which I could provide, please let me know.
With my love,
Jeanne

My son was lucky enough to be in Mrs. Lippolt's 4th grade class 8 years ago. He adored her charm, humor, knowledge, and the way she treated the kids with respect. At the "meet the teacher" night for parents early in the school year, I was touched and thrilled when she announced that she understands how challenging it can be to get sleepy 4th graders out the door and off to school, and they often don't have time for breakfast. She encouraged the kids to bring a quiet, healthy breakfast and drink to eat at their desk during morning work, so the kids could have the best day possible.
I know it's a tiny, random example, but Mrs. Lip plot obviously loved, cared for, respected and valued the children ( and families) that she taught. She will always be remembered as aspect all person who touched our lives and our hearts. May she rest in painless peace. Wishing her family and friends healing.....
