We mourn Karen Pappas, born Karen Scott Longworth and known to many as Scotty. She was a beloved wife, mother, and friend. She spent much of her professional life as a tireless and dedicated hospital nurse before taking executive positions in nursing-related fields such as publishing, employment, and education. Karen is survived by her husband Gary and her three children: Danielle, Jonathan, and Elizabeth and her five grandchildren: Eva, Jonah, Chloe, Lillian and Nora. Her boundless energy and deep compassion will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
