Margaret F. Coulter 5/9/1943 - 5/26/2022 Survived by her loving husband of 59 years Andrew Coulter, Her 3 children, daughter Julie Coulter-Lyons, son in law John Lyons, son Scott Coulter, daughter in law Heather Coulter, daughter Melissa Coulter-Patton, son in law Lewis D. Patton(deceased), Her seven beloved grandchildren, Samantha Lyons, Tyler Coulter, Andrew Lyons, Mackenzie Patton, Alexandria Patton, Ryan Coulter, Cayleigh Calhoun. Margaret was born in Scotland on May 9, 1943 in a small town called Paisley, where she lived with, her parents Susan and Colin Watson, and older brother Jim Watson who she adored. Margaret and Andrew met in Brooklyn NY in 1961 where she was working in the United Nations and married on 06/16/1962 and enjoyed almost 60 years of marriage together. Margaret immigrated here in 1959 and went on to have 3 beautiful children. Margaret has been a resident of West Islip since 1974 and could often be found at the local library, where she shared her avid love of reading onto her many grandchildren. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother, who supported her family in every aspect of their lives. Margaret was beloved by her seven grandchildren all of whom adored her. Being a grandmother was a role she cherished and fell into easily. She would never hesitate to spend time with her grandchildren. She was always very generous with the cookies, especially before dinner. Private family cremation May 31, 2022.
