My Sister is a Saint. She led her life as a loving and caring woman. She was guided by her religious beliefs and love of Christ. Imagine raising nine children who grew to be successful people as educators and nurses and law enforcement t officers. They live today within miles from the home their mom and dad lived in for most of their entire married life. Every time I have an opportunity to brag about this family I do it. Whenever I get into conversations with folks some strangers that I meet; I boast about my Bernadette and Jack and their nine children. I don’t boast about the number nine, although it is an attention getter; I am displaying how proud I am and how they were raised to be the people they are; their values and their beliefs. People are not born with values and beliefs, they are developed through nurturing with care and principles. Bernadette and Jack did a masterful job. Bernadette, my sister lived the life of a Saint on Earth and is a Saint in Heaven. She was correctly named after Saint Bernadette of Lourdes. My sister, our Bernadette’s’ life was all about our children.
