I will sorely miss her. She was such a light of joy and love. I will always be grateful for her warmth and kindness to me. Rita had a way of making everyday fun and turning any frown upside down with her giving and compassionate spirit.
Rest in Peace, my friend. Tricia

Sometimes there are no words…. Only thoughts from the heart!
Rita has been a most lovable, precious friend for over 75 years to me and later on to my family. She always gave us so much love. How lucky we were to have Rita in our life.
Oh, Rita, how we loved you and will miss so very much. You have been a rare and special friend… always a big part of my life. God blessed me to be your friend.
My heart is broken and I have many wonderful memories of our relationship and of all the good times we shared. No one can ever replace you because there is no one like my Rita, nor will there ever be.
You brought so much love and warmth to all our lives.
When my children asked how you were their Aunt, your answer was “I am not your blood Aunt, but I am you Love Aunt”.
Thank you all nieces and nephews for being so devoted. She love you all. She was blessed with all of you and she knew it!
Sharing in your sorrow,
Terry

Linda Mylott posted a condolence

Rita was our friend and neighbor for decades. What a wonderful, friendly, kind and positive person. Her door was always open, especially on Halloween, her favorite holiday, when her house was decorated and treats covered the dining room table for visitors to take what they wanted. Rita also wore a costume all that day and it was a secret what that costume would be each year. I was honored one year when she borrowed one of mine. She was in an online book club during the pandemic and would send me her list of books and sometimes we discussed them. She walked one of her nephews down the aisle, along with his mother, when he got married and was a bridesmaid at two of her nieces weddings. She was young at heart and spirit.
Her wonderful, loving family was always visiting and taking her to church, dinner or their homes to visit. Rita and her family are an inspiration as to how we all should live.
Her passing leaves a void in our neighborhood and I’m sure in her family.
With great sympathy,
Bob and Linda Mylott ( “Linda, three doors down”).
