Mazza, Barney, of Bay Shore, LI, on April 7, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Arlene Mazza. Devoted father of James Mazza, Barney (Sarah) Mazza, Theresa (Frank) Manganella, Alan (Barbara) Mazza, Lily Mazza and Thomas (Morgan) Mazza. Cherished grandfather of Nicole, Sarah, Megan, Melissa, Caitlin, Matthew and Francesca. Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy. (1/4 mile west of the Robert Moses Cswy.). Visiting Monday 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Monday 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM. While I am sad and others who knew my dad are mourning too, I pray my father can finally see in heaven and see his wife for the first time. I pray he also sees his mother, father, brothers, sister, and so many friends he has lost throughout the years. For those who didn’t know, my dad has been blind since he was 15 years old, and was an avid baseball fan. He coached many years starting with my older siblings all the way down to me. He also swore he was better than any Yankees manager :) He meant the world to me and I will miss him dearly. As he always said:” I’ll see you when I see you.” Well, dad I hope one day I will see YOU again. Rest in Peace pops and until then. Your loving son, Tommy

I remember your father and you so very well. I played on one of his teams for West Islip. Your father was an inspiration to me. I have never forgotten him. I was outside with my dogs today and his name crossed my mind. I googled him and found his obituary. Your father took great care of all of us on the team. Fought for us and coached us like we were the Yankees. Rest in peace Mr. Mazza. I will never, ever forget you. My sincere condolences to all of you.
