Obituary

Young, Suzette Maidment, of West Islip, LI, on March 11, 2022. Beloved wife of Ian S.Young for 49 years. Devoted mother of Ian (Aja) Young and Trevor Young. Dear sister of Jennifer (William) DeCamp. An alumnus of C.W. Post, Suzette touched many lives in her work as a teacher for forty years in the North Babylon school district. She loved traveling all over the world and enjoyed Scottish dancing with her husband. She is gone, but never forgotten. Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy. (1/4 mile west of the Robert Moses Cswy.). A funeral service will be held at United Methodist Church of Babylon on Thursday at 10:00 am. A cremation will follow. Visiting Wednesday 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals.
